On Tuesday 11 February, 2020 a highly powered delegation from Legacy University led by the Pro Chancellor Dr Chief Leo Nkameme, paid a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Prof Charles Okechukwu Esimone FAS in his office at the university. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the Legacy University’s ties with UNIZIK as its mentee university. Nnamdi Azikiwe University is officially the mentoring university assigned to Legacy University by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC) at the inception of the university in 2016.
